I love trying new skincare products so my routine never remains the same for too long. If something works for my skin I usually use the all of the product and once finished I switch it out for something new. I’m a bit OCD about opening a new product without finishing another. So I’ll say this is my current skincare routine! (you’ve probably seen some of these in my latest reviews!)
- SKIN by Ecostore Gentle Cleanser
- Goodness Products Hydrating Mist Toner
- L’Oreal Age Perfect Rose Re-Densifying Day Cream
- A’Kin Brightening Rosehip Oil
In the morning I usually stick to more gentle cleansers as I know my face is clean from the night before, it’s more about removing the oils/moisturisers sitting on my face overnight. You can read my reviews of the Ecostore cleanser here and my review of the L’Oreal day cream here. I love using the mist toner by Goodness Products, it’s a great wake me up and refreshing product to use in the morning. Because I fit in the “dry skin” category I love using facial oils to keep my skin hydrated all day. I received this one by A’Kin in a beauty box but have since repurchased it because it feels great on my skin.
- Moisture Mist Gentle Cleansing Foam
- Trilogy Make-Up Be Gone Cleansing Balm
- Goodness Products Be Bright Chia Serum
- SKIN by Ecostore Replenishing Night Cream
I love the cleanser by Moisture Mist, I’ve repurchased this several times! It does dry my skin out a bit after use but I love how well it cleanses. I use the cleansing balm if I have a lot of makeup on which I know a cleanser may not remove, especially mascara or eyeliner as I don’t use face wash on my eye area. I love this cleansing balm, it’s so soft on my skin and easy to use, it also leaves my skin feeling really hydrated – I use this after washing my face which removes all excess makeup. The Chia Serum by Goodness Products is a new product by Goodness Products and I’ve only been using it for about a week, so far I like it but I might give it its’ own review! Again, you can read my review on SKIN by Ecostore in the link earlier.
- St Ives Blackhead Clearing Green Tea Scrub
- Skinfood Mud Masque
- Mecca Cosmetica Micellar Water
- Evolu Rehydration Rescue Masque
Twice a week I like to exfoliate my skin and I’m currently using this scrub by St Ives. I’ve used it a few times now and in my experience it doesn’t quite give me the exfoliation I need and it doesn’t remove blackheads. I’m a bit disappointed in this product. Once a week or once a fortnight I use this mud-masque by Skinfood. I really enjoy using it, it’s easy to apply and remove and makes my skin so smooth and soft! I sometimes use this micellar water after cleansing at night if I don’t use the trilogy cleansing balm. Sometimes all I need is a little wipe under my eyes to remove smudged mascara. I have also been using this rescue masque by Evolu for the last couple of weeks. I use it twice a week in place of using a facial oil. This is hydrating and has calmed some redness I had and also reduced some dry patches on my forehead.
I’d love to know if you know of any other overnight rehydration masques! I love using this one by Evolu and would love to know what else is out there! Thanks for reading xx
